Humble Leadership

Humble leadership allows for disruption of the hierarchy.

When we’re confident in our leadership (starting with self), we are humble. When we are humble, we seek diversity of thought. When we seek diversity of thought, we invite alternative perspectives. When we invite alternative perspectives, we open ourselves up to being seen, to be challenged, to grow, and to evolve.

Humble leaders ask questions that empower others. We are slow to respond - not because we don’t have thoughts to express, but because we empower others by listening. We ask thought provoking, subconscious questions to get others to trust themselves and their ideas.

Humble leaders ask questions that empower others. With time, humble leaders allow others to see how far they can go without them. If you think about the barometer of leadership - it is often judged by the performance of those we are leading.

There is true power in humility; and humble leadership starts with love.
